Our Story

Hello and welcome! I am Saba Alam, the Founder of IncludeME Learning!

I started my career in education as a Science teacher about 25 years ago. Since then I have qualified as a SEN specialist with a Masters in Education in Special Educational Needs & Disability (with Merit). I also have a CELTA and many years of TEFL experience. During my career I have held the post of Founding Head of Inclusion at a school in Dubai and continue to serve as the Governor of Inclusion of an Outstanding school in Dubai where I am also Chair of the Local Advisory Board.

The IncludeME Learning story started in Dubai in 2013 when I met Milica, a fellow mum also struggling to ensure her child’s needs are understood and effectively supported at school. After a particularly trying period we realised that parents should not be on this journey on their own. There is so much we can do to support each other. United, our voice could be a powerful force for our children. This led to the founding of IncludeME, a parent support group which quickly gained a loyal following. Following Milica’s departure on to new projects, I continued to work with IncludeME parents to tirelessly advocate not only for our own children but for a more inclusive culture as a whole. Over the years, through workshops, presentations, guest speakers, staff training, social events, one on one emotional and practical support countless families have found hope by understanding their child’s challenges, being able to support their children at home, finding balance as a family, and confidently advocating for their child’s needs. I also successfully work with school professionals where I am a governor to help develop outstanding inclusive practices and the strong parent partnerships for which the school is renowned.

IncludeME has been a road to empowerment, discovery, education, hope and success. Together we have triumphed in even the smallest achievement of our children and also gained courage to find solutions to the challenges and barriers they have encountered.

IncludeME Learning was born from the desire to take my journey further and create even greater impact by reaching out to even more families and provide more structured efficient solutions through professional services to parents, children and educators. I firmly believe that with the right support the opportunities for every child are limitless!
